Islay, Jura, Arran and the Mull of Kintyre only have a few youth hostels among them, and many ways to cycle between them. Since I wanted to book in advance, I had to work out the best way round, trying many options, most of which ended up with very long or very short days. Time will tell if I made a good choice.
