Nine years ago I completed another adventure at RHB. Our two lovely boys, Tim and Ed, walked Wainwright's coast to coast walk from St. Bees' Head in Cumbria to RHB. 192 miles in 12 days a big achievement for them, aged 14 and 13, and for me too. The weather was slightly different in 2004: it poured with rain, the Swale burst its banks and we walked several miles in ankle-deep water along a flooded road. Lots of happy memories too of course, especially finishing at RHB.
I remember that pub, and the photo of me pretending to have a beer ha! Ed
